Passion for Tango

Tango in United States

Why I like Argentine Tango Dancing  from Marcelo Solís.

Argentina gave the world Argentine Tangbandoneon.o.

The intensity and passion of it’s many songs is unique and easily identified in the international world of music and dance.

When I listen or dance to this gorgeous pulsing music I spontaneously feel more energetic, joyful and light hearted.

I enjoy the intensity and passion of it’s many songs.

It is easy to understand why this beautiful art form is listed in theIntangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Learning to dance to this wonderful music continually fascinates, challenges and delights me.  I have expanded my knowledge of music by learning about the various composers, orchestras and singers of the 1920′s and 30′s.

To my surprise there was all this pulsing rhythm and no drums in the orchestra. Argentine tango dancing has increased my ability to be more centered,to be more aware of my partner and to feel the exchange energy between thelead and follow as the song unfolds.  Relating the dance steps to the tango rhythm, melody and mood add another dimension to this dance.

Interestingly enough it really does take two to tango. The social aspects of this dance has expanded my social circle with many interesting people. Argentine Tango provides a way to capture my attention and lead me down a path of endless surprises.

There is always something new to learn and interesting people to meet. It is easy to understand why this dance is done around the world giving international travelers a focus point to meet new friends.  It inspires one to travel to Argentine to more fully experience and understand the origins of this beautiful dance, taste some world class beef, and perhaps learn a little Spanish.

Marcelo Solís is an excellent dancer, not to mention Tango instructor. He is dedicated to broaden his students’ understanding of tango.
